Jake Paul defeats Mike Tyson in brutally tough fight to watch for Netflix viewers

Jake Paul has defeated Mike Tyson in a what was a comfortable victory for the fighter who had been 31 years the legendary heavyweight’s junior – in a fight with very little action.

Neither Paul nor Tyson had landed many significant shots whatsoever with the 58-year-old looking gassed out after the very first round.

Paul looked disappointed with himself after the performance, and did not overly celebrate well the bell rang with boo’s being heard around Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium.

Paul was wary of Tyson’s power early, looking to cover up quickly after throwing overhand rights while the heavyweight legend had looked to use his explosivity to land big shots.

But it was Paul who landed the first shot of the fight with a nice overhand right after a counter on a left-hand jab from Tyson. The second round before Tyson immediately look a little slower than he had in the first, while standing in the middle of the ring and looking to counter Paul’s attacks.

In the third round, Paul landed three straight left hooks with Tyson’s movement in the ring looking very limited with the younger fighter showing his athleticism with the writing looking on the wall for what was to come.

By the fourth round, Paul had taken the center of the ring and begun loading up his shots and lowered his hands with Tyson not throwing much at all. The fifth round had seen much of the same as the previous, with Paul landing a nice overhand right when Tyson had been going backwards.

The sixth round saw fans boo’ing with a lack of action from both men, with Tyson’s age showing as he looked to throw very little shots – with Paul’s corner angry with him and telling him to go into the final two rounds looking for the KO.

Tyson showed some action in the early seventh as he threw a few jabs with a straight left landing, before Paul showed his speed advantage with a few nice shots heading into the final round. The final round saw Tyson look to land a shot to end the bout and give himself a chance, but to no avail with Paul going on to win comfortably on points.

Paul had entered the ring off the back of seeing his close friend and teammate Amanda Serrano lose in heartbreaking decision to Katie Taylor – in a result that many will deem as controversial after the Irish champion had a point deducted for headbutts.

The fight card on Netflix had buffered for thousands watching around the world, with many voicing their complaints across social media.
