Vietnam’s State Budget Collection Down 7.1 pct in 11 Months

Vietnam posted a budget collection of 1,537.6 trillion Vietnamese dong (63.31 billion U.S. dollars) from January to November, down 7.1 percent year on year, according to the country’s General Statistics Office.

Domestic revenue over the months declined 3 percent from the same period of last year to 1,272.7 trillion dong (52.4 billion dollars), while the revenue from import-export activities decreased 22.4 percent to 206.8 trillion dong (8.5 billion dollars), reaching 86.5 percent of the whole year’s estimate.

Vietnam’s budget spending during the cited period stood at 1,502.9 trillion dong (61.88 billion dollars), up 10.9 percent year on year.

The Southeast Asian country set more than 1.7 quadrillion dong (nearly 69.8 billion dollars) for total state budget collection in 2024.

The country also estimated over 2.1 quadrillion dong (86.2 billion dollars) for state budget spending next year.
